Lamb’s Tongue
Check out the Lamb’s Tongue Edge Profile from 3 Spark Design. This edge is offered as one in a series of new traditional profiles.
Like most architectural details, Lamb’s Tongue has its origins in the Greek and Roman traditions. We typically use this design as a support moulding. However, we have now enlarged it and made it more prominent for everyone to appreciate. Placing this edge around a large curve give designers flexibility that break form sheet metal options simply cannot provide.
A prominent dish shape forms the center of the profile, highlighted by alternating scalloped cuts. Our team has worked to ensure that the primary form is visually pleasing without being overly graphic, as some smaller versions tend to be.
This Lamb’s Tongue trim reflects light softly while giving the observer something to appreciate in its beautiful repeat.
Examine the options for the Lamb’s Tongue edge profile in zinc, brass, and copper. Use your mouse to rotate the model and observe what a square corner, inverse corner, small radius, and large radius look like in each metal option.
All 3 Spark Design’s living metals are sanctioned as lead-free through third-party certification. Because of their unique construction, they are also suitable for indoor and outdoor environments.
